Instead of relying on email or other external tools, conversations happen directly within the candidate view in Fill.

Where to find the supplier conversation
Supplier conversations are located inside the candidate card.
Open the request you are working on
Select the candidate you want to discuss
Navigate to the Supplier chat tab
Here you will see the full conversation history for that candidate.
Starting a conversation
The request owner and any Hiring team member with Recruiter access can start a conversation with the supplier.
To start a conversation:
Open the candidate card
Click the Supplier chat tab
Select Open conversation
Write your message and send it
Once started, the supplier can reply directly in the same thread.
What can you use the conversation for?
The supplier conversation can be used for anything related to the candidate, for example:
Clarifying the candidate's experience
Negotiating rates
Requesting additional documentation
Sharing updates related to the candidate
All messages remain connected to the candidate so the discussion stays organised.
Sharing documents
You can attach files directly in the conversation, such as:
CV updates
Background checks
Additional documentation
Attachments follow the same file rules as other chats in Fill.
Message notifications
When a supplier replies, Fill will notify the request owner and all Hiring team members with Recruiter access.
Unread indicators appear in several places:
On the request list
On the candidate list
Inside the candidate card
These indicators show when a supplier has sent a new message.
Chat access and Hiring teams
Chat access follows Hiring team membership automatically. When a colleague is added to a Hiring team with Recruiter access, they gain access to supplier conversations for that request. When they leave the team, access is removed.
Viewers on the Hiring team can read conversations but cannot send messages.
